If you have a heart for the incarcerated and would love to help by providing lunch on Sundays, this is the application for you!!

Welcome to the family of volunteers at Freedom Lake! Our volunteers, who generously give of their time and talents, allow us to take Jesus’ Great Commission to incarcerated men by teaching them to be disciples who make disciples, building them up to be godly men, providing support systems to help them in their walk upon release, thereby reducing recidivism in our local communities and creating a system that anyone, anywhere can replicate. Through Christ, we help rebuild lives every day. Your commitment to volunteering at Freedom Lake will positively impact our community and the lives of those we serve. We are happy you are here; please join us!

Provide/Serve a Sunday Meal

We serve lunch every Sunday after church services to incarcerated men who are leaders in our 3Thirds Discipleship Group Training, and we rely on dedicated volunteers to help us feed between 25 and 30 men each week. Volunteers can:
- Plan, shop, prepare and cook the meal
- Have a lunch catered
- Order pizzas and have them delivered
- Have boxed lunches ordered and delivered

Whichever option you choose, all food and drinks are to be dropped off at Southeast Christian Church Blankenbaker Parkway location under the portico between 1:00 PM - 1:15 PM on your designated Sunday.  We also ask that you include drinks (canned soft drinks, sweet tea, lemonade), plates, napkins, cutlery, and cups if necessary, with the meal.

Volunteers interested in helping to serve the men must complete the volunteer training prior to the day of service.  Volunteers serving meals – outside the facility - must be over the age of 12, and volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult parent, guardian, or group leader.  Gather a group and commit to planning and cooking a meal to serve the men once a month for a year.
