Shawnee City Life Front Desk Coordinator
This opportunity will help check in students, manage the flow of traffic through our front door to our Youth and Family Center in Shawnee. This person will serve as a critical face to our students and families as they enter and interact with YFC City Life in Shawnee.
City Life is an effective ministry model to transform the lives of urban youth, their families and the communities that they live in. The City Life model provides a strategic way to pursue every young person in urban communities all over the USA and specifically in the West End of Louisville.
Our vision is to empower urban youth to change their community for Christ.
The City Life core ministry model has its roots in a rich history of YFC desiring to reach high-risk youth. Lifeline ministries launched this passion through camps and trips, but when the model evolved to a year round ministry it was called Youth Guidance. Youth Guidance focused primarily on youth in systems and staff saw there was the need to develop a ministry model that worked with young people in urban communities before they might become incarcerated. Urban Ministries and then City Life was born!
We operate a youth and family center in the Shawnee neighborhood of Louisville's West End.
We meet several days a week as we strive to connect God's story to the story of Youth in West Louisville.

Responsibilities
- Build Authentic Christ Sharing Relationships with High School Students
Restrictions
- High School Graduate
- 18 years or older
Preparation

- Fill out YFC Volunteer Application
- Submit YFC Volunteer Application to [email protected]
- Schedule an in person meeting with YFC Staff to continue the volunteer process
