Affordable Christmas 2023

We have a big need in our community that our Church has stepped up to meet. As you probably have experienced personally; food, rent and utility costs have gone up putting a strain on everyone’s budget. Those living near or below the poverty line have been hit the hardest and as a result more and more are coming to us via our local ministry partner, Helping Hands of Hope, in need of basic needs like food and utility assistance. Helping Hand has many ways of helping these families but a newer one is called Affordable Christmas which provides Christmas toys for qualified children in our county. These families are identified by Helping Hand of Hope in partnership with the Family Resources Coordinators of HCS and EIS. Local churches band together and adopt one or more of the schools and commit to helping a certain number of children. We committed to 7 schools with 100 children.
