We are looking for a volunteer to act as an Event Planner for our annual and one-off fundraising events.

The Prisoners Hope is looking for a ministry non-profit event planner whose key responsibilities are to be the main organizer and communicator between all the different suppliers and stakeholders, to ensure everyone is on the same page.

Prerequisites

Applicant must complete an interview with the Executive Director of The Prisoners Hope and other staff members associated with ministry events.

Responsibilities

This is an overview of 5 things that make up the day to day job: Daily communication with external suppliers and ministry staff to discuss the progress of the event. Managing the event budget, drawing up supplier contracts, and approving payment of supplier invoices. Supporting the volunteer fundraising committee with their efforts and ensuring they are kept up to date on all details of the event. Liaising with corporate sponsors, auction sponsors, and general donors to secure sponsorship and prizes via fundraising committee contacts. Updating the in-house PR team on the event, any media-worthy guests / celebrities attending, and any luxury auction prizes that could provide positive pre-publicity.
